ReplyDeleteWhen boys first started losing to girls, the excuse was: "he's inexperienced," or "not physically mature." Then, when it started happening more frequently, at the lower weights, the excuse was: "those states must have weak wrestlers." Now, girls are not only placing at state tournaments across the country, a few, have done the unthinkable, and won, the excuse is: "well, it'll never happen in the upper-weights." Now, that girls are winning some in the upper divisions, it's: "yeah, but, she'll stop wrestling in college." I wonder what the next 10 years is going to look like.
ReplyDeleteIt has to be so embarrassing for this dude being one of the few college guys who have been defeated by females but it would happen much more frequently if the girls did'nt have their own leagues.
