LUCKNOW: For the audience, which had gathered at Hari Chand Inter College Ground to witness the famous man versus woman wrestling duel, the wait was rather agonising.
However, as soon as both the wrestlers shook hands and engaged in wrestling, the energy level of the audience reached a new level.However, the enthusiasm of the audience was short-lived, as in flat 90 seconds, the female wrestler overpowered the male wrestler leaving him in the lurch and confused, much to the amusement of the audience who acknowledged her wrestling acumen and skills.his is the second consecutive year in which a female wrestler had overpowered a male wrestler.The match, which was intentionally kept as the penultimate fight of the day, attracted large number of onlookers and visitors including armymen, who willingly parked their cycles, motorcycles and even heavy vehicle to catch a glimpse of this unique fight, where the women wrestler Bhawna Narwale challenged male wrestlers to have a one-to-one duel with her."I challenge everyone present here except the children and older generation to have a one-to-one fight with me," Bhawna said.After a couple of minutes, her challenger - Kaushal emerged from the crowd to accept the challenge.After the customary handshake with the chief guest and guest of honour, the wrestlers took on each other.However, as soon as the audience started to settle in to watch the match of the day, the woman wrestler from Varanasi pounced upon the man from Jhansi, and before he kew what hit him, Kaushal was overpowered and pinned by his female foe in about 90 seconds."I am thankful to the organisers of Lucknow Mahotsava for giving me a platform and opportunity to prove that I am not less than anyone. Owing to hardships, which I faced at homes, I was unable to pursue wrestling. But, gradually things changed for the good, and today, I am in a position to take on even the men wrestlers," said Bhawna, and broke down.In another tournament:

Famous Indian wrestler gets pinned by female champ
In a remarkable feat, Neha tomar, a 17-year-old wrestler from Rudrapur Uttarakhand, challenged and defeated Sonu Pehlwan, a famous local male wrestler.
Tomar was adamant to go against any male wrestler in a unique battle-of-the-sexes contest.
Pehlwan was left startled even before the contest. He, along with several other male wrestlers, initially ignored Tomar’s challenges for a fight. But the girl remained persistent.
Pehlwan finally gave in and subsequently a combat between the two was organised at Jogi Navada locality of Bareilly.
Pehlwan was older than Tomar, more experienced than her and also weighed 16 kgs more. However, to the amazement of the audience, it was the determined wrestler who emerged as the winner.
An audience compiled of wrestlers and localites, cheered Tomar on and witnessed an unusual moment as Tomar pinned Pehlwan to win the contest.
The match lasted for less than ten minutes as Tomar’s strength and movements were too much for Pehlwan to handle. Related A delighted Tomar spoke said that she wanted to prove her strength to everyone.
"I wanted to show the women participants present here that we are no less in strength and can be equally good at the sport. But the actual reason for which I challenged the male wrestlers was that I had already beaten all the women participants in the event," Tomar said.
Event coordinator Sushil Sharma admitted to be shocked on the challenge. "It was a surprise for us too when Neha challenged male wrestlers. But we did not want to hurt her feelings either. So when Sonu Pehlwan agreed to fight her, we made an exception to the rules. To our utter surprise, the match was unpredictable till the very end when Neha pinned him down," Sharma said.
Whether male wrestlers accept further challenges or back away from the possibility of losing remains to be seen. But one thing is for sure, that the future for this talented wrestler is extremely bright.

Phenomenal female wrestler crushes all her male opponents
This guy is good. He lets her up from referee's position thinking he can get a take down. They battle on their feet for a while, locking up tight until she manages to throw him down to the mat. amazing show of strength.
he tries to get a double leg, but she just rolls him over and pins him. he looks pretty depressed after that match
she pins this guy easily, he's just is totally outclassed
He thinks he's got her with a tight headlock, but he's wrong. she breaks out of it and uses brute force to push him down. the crown goes wild as she covers him up and pins him
he almost had her, but she fights free. he goes for a single leg, but he overextends himself. she pounces on his vulnerability and flattens him to the mat. the crowd cheers as the ref calls the pin
thought she was gonna spladle him for a second. she's on his back in referee's position, locks him up and flips him over in a nice tight cradle for the pin.
20 seconds in and she's got this guy on his back. he struggles to break free but she's got all the leverage and overpowers him. He's totally stunned she pinned him that fast and lies on the mat clutching his head for a while. he pounds the mat with his fist and gets up to stand by as her arm is raised in victory
She slams this tough guy to the mat and pins him! He takes the loss like a man though. shakes her hand and walks off the mat knowing he got beat by a top class wrestler

Korean Women Wrestlers Beat Up Male Training Partners
The Korean Olympic committee decided to send some male wrestlers to train with the women's team so the women could improve. But the guys ended up getting their asses kicked. One of the bigger women destroyed a male heavyweight. He stepped onto the mat thinking he would teach her a thing or two about wrestling, but in a matter of minutes she had him on his back and he was struggling to free himself. He tried to bridge out of it, but she broke him down and pinned him. Then she dragged him to his feet so she could beat on him some more. The lighter weight guys were totally outclassed. One of them said that getting beat by a female wrestler was tolerable and he could learn from them to make him a better wrestler. He will have time. From now until the end of next month they'll be taking on the women's team once a month.
